200 years of silk
A House Made of Silk.
Au Ver à Soie was founded in Paris in 1820, at a moment when French craftsmanship was at the height of its influence. The house was built on a single conviction: that the quality of the thread determines the quality of everything made from it.
From the beginning, Au Ver à Soie’s silks found their way into the ateliers of Paris, into couture, embroidery, and the ceremonial textiles that demanded the finest materials. Over time, the name came to stand for something very simple: an uncompromising quality of thread.
