About the event
A week like no other.

Conceived by Nathalie Boucher-Bothorel of Au Ver à Soie to celebrate more than 200 years of French silk thread manufacture, this landmark celebration will bring the story of Au Ver à Soie to life in the heart of France’s Loire Valley.

At its creative centre is a unique collaboration between Jenny Adin-Christie, Julie Romero, Alison Cole and Ekta Kaul, four of the world’s most respected embroidery artists, who will each design one part of a single commemorative project created especially for the occasion. Across four days of intimate tuition, guests will work with each tutor in turn, gradually bringing the complete design to life.

The finished embroidery will be exclusive to this event and will never be reproduced, released as a commercial kit or made available afterwards making this a truly singular opportunity to celebrate Au Ver à Soie’s remarkable heritage, learn from four exceptional artists and become part of a creative moment that will never be repeated.
